Facelift
The skin loses elasticity with increasing age. The tension of the facial musculature subsides. The effects of gravity, solar radiation and (with many people) nicotine intake add up. The soft parts of the face begin to sag, "hamster cheeks” gradually appear, the skin becomes wrinkled and withered.
These changes often make the face appear older than it actually is.
With a facelift, the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) of the face is smoothed out, the soft tissue is returned to its original position and excessive tissue is removed. After the operation, the face should appear fresh, of course, but not exaggeratedly taut; the fine facial expression should be retained.
It is possible and effective to lift the midface, forehead and throat in an operation. The facelift operation is certainly one of the greatest challenges in cosmetic surgery. It is necessary to create an OP result which is individually adapted to the patient; the method must be reliable, long-lasting and low-risk.
Our practice has risen to this challenge and offers this specialty in close cooperation with one of Germany’s best and most famous facial surgeons:
Dr. med. Christian Schrank. Partner and colleague of Dr. Joram Levi, formerly Partnach Private Clinic, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, now known as Holzkirchen.
