Cuperosis - spider veins
The treatment of spider veins should always be preceded by the diagnosis of the superficial and deep venous system to exclude a chronic venous insufficiency. Nowadays this is done with Doppler ultrasound.
The treatment is an injection of aethoxysclerol with a small needle directly into the vein to cause a local inflammation and to obstruct the vein.
This treatment is an outpatient procedure, not painful and has to be repeated sometimes.
