Finally smooth skin again:
Abdominal wall lift (abdominoplasty)

After pregnancy or significant weight loss, the elastic fibers of the hypodermis in the abdominal wall area are frequently heavily overstretched or even torn. Sagging and wrinkle formation occur as a result of the skin mantle, which has become too large. Many women and some men are affected by this "sagging stomach" and want to have back their tight skin which fits their silhouette. A very good way of achieving this is with an abdominal wall lift, also known as abdominoplasty, which should only be performed by a medical specialist in plastic surgery. This procedure is used to remove excess skin and subcutaneous fatty tissue. If the sagging is heavy, the new contour is also frequently achieved with a reimplantation of the navel. Since, in addition to the abdominal wall, the straight abdominal muscles are also often sagging separated at the center line (diastasis recti), they are tightened at the same time in this operation. An extensive surplus of skin and soft tissue cannot be improved through weight loss. Even liposuction is no longer of help here. An abdominal wall lift is the only way to achieve a real improvement.

Goals of the operation:
OP procedure:

The abdominal wall lift is conducted under general anesthesia in the scope of an inpatient stay of 2-3 days. A compression girdle will have to be worn for approx. 6 weeks after the operation. 2-3 weeks of physical rest may be necessary, depending on the extent of the operation required. Sport or heavy lifting should be avoided for approximately 6 weeks.
