Eyebrow shaping
With increasing age, a drop off of the entire forehead can be observed. The eyebrows are going downwards and reach the bony edge of the eye cavity, and later even lie underneath. The result is a so-called Pseudochalasis which can evoke a Schlupflid or, if preexisting, increase.
The treatment should be done with a forehead lift, which is based on the bicoronary technique. The incision runs about 3-4 rows behind the hairline.
Healing is quick, after 10 days the sutures can be removed.
The scar is unvisible after 3-6 months.
The result are permanently raised eyebrows in a correct position. In addition, the skin is freed from adhesions with the underlying muscles, so that the typical horizontal forehead lines and wrinkles are significantly improved.
Schlupflider can be significantly improved, and the patient has a free space above the eye again.
In individual cases, an additional upper eyelid surgery may still be necessary.
